Heinz Emigholz and his film about the Schindler houses. My husband and I barely made it to the Billy Wilder Theatre at the Hammer to see the last screenings of two of the four Emigholz films, Loos (Adolf) Ornamental and Schindler Hauser. Being unfamiliar with his framing style, the beginning of each film seemed (and seems) a bit choppy. After a few houses however, we were transported to another time and place. At a Chinese New Year party our friend Justin told us that he had rented Goff en der Wuste (Goff in the Desert) from Netflix...If you like Modern architecture, you really must see it! The first time you watch it, please, no interruptions, and make sure you turn off the director's commentary. The second time, listen to the commentary!
